What is psychotherapy?

Every person needs other people.

This is true for all of us, without exception, if we want to be – and remain – healthy and able to work and to relate to others.

Getting to know yourself better.

1991Since 1991, psychotherapy in Austria has been an independent, scientifically recognised and legally regulated form of treatment.

We develop our identity and our sense of self through our connection with the important people who give meaning to our experience. We learn to communicate by exchanging with others – and it is important to learn to set boundaries with other people if we do not want to suffer psychological harm.

Psychotherapy can help you get to know yourself better. Its aim is to make change possible, so that suffering and illness-related limitations can be reduced and overcome.

Psychotherapy helps with

  • Anxiety and panic
  • Relationship problems
  • Problems at work
  • Low mood, loneliness, depression
  • Grief, loss, separation
  • Experiences of violence and abuse
  • Traumatic experiences
  • Psychosomatic complaints
  • Developmental and life crises
  • Sleep disorders

And it is used

  • As help and support in times of crisis
  • To develop your own potential and abilities (self-confidence, self-worth, creativity …)
  • To find access to your own resources and develop new perspectives
  • As guidance and support in your own process of development and healing

The first step.
